The Determination of Soft Composite FoundationDeformation Modulus and Its Effect on Structural Endogenetic Force

Abstract: The deformation modulus of foundation can bedetermined with field experiment, look up table, compression modulusconversion, and etc. The deformation modulus deterministic methods of softcomposite foundation is discussed and confirmed by field experiment data in thepaper, and the result shows that the method of weighting is appropriate. Takingthe structural endogenetic force calculation of Taipu River Pumping Station asan example, the sensitivity of deformation modulus to endogenetic force is analyzedand the result shows that the endogenetic force is decreased along withlogarithmic deformation modulus. At last, it is concluded that the deformationmodulus is an important effect factor of structural endogenetic forcecalculation.
